This doily seems as a whole but it is made of separate motives that can be seen in the second photo. After completing all of the motives, its frame is crocheted.

We use special plastic rings inside these round motives. If you aren’t able to get such rings, you may try to do them with chains but I doubt whether they will look so even with chains.
